- According to Farid, he desired to be solicitor since he was a young child.
- During his college days, Farid joined his father’s law firm to practice law, which eventually helped him later.
- In 2006, Farid joined Wadia Ghandy, one of the oldest law firms in India and later, became a partner in the firm. In 2012, Farid opened an office in Delhi with one of his partners from Wadia Ghandy.
- Farid had represented the central government in a case against reliance and other companies regarding the KG-D6 gas case. The case lasted for almost four years.
